"It is inspired by Korean traditional low-height desk's form and color.

designer's own words:
Everything has two sides: positive-negative, in-out and above-below. "Positive negative=Negative positive" is basically a low-height-desk. It is possible to reverse it to create a rack for displaying books, amplifier and small goods etc. It is made of wood or plastic."

"Graffititek is the latest piece by young French designer Charles Kalpakian. Based on Parisian Graffiti art, the bookcase aims to offer new perspective on the craft by reinterpreting it in a three-dimesional way.

Trading as hellokarl, Kalpakian has built his career working within the areas of interior and product design from his studio in Paris.

When asked about his work, Kalpakian summerises, "i like to think of my work as dreams that inspire briefly but allow us to endure on".
