"Research shows that nearly 80% of European employees derive their motivation from working together and sharing experiences with colleagues. Koninklijke Ahrend is fascinated by the part a correct environment can play in these processes. A good working environment helps to support change and keeps staff motivated.

Following this theme Ahrend introduced p h i l i n k at Interieur 08: a new sustainable table for home and office use, designed by Belgian architects Jeroen Theuns and Caroline Voet.

The p h i l i n k table is the first fully developed commercial product using the philink geometry. It offers countless constellations of both rectangular and triangular nature, as well as superb standalone combinations: six person round table, eight person long table, multiple person starshapes, squares, circles and triangles, individual workstation or executive office etc. Every setup offers a new experience and invites to yet another way of sitting together.

The p h i l i n k geometry has a deceivingly simple recipe: three sides of equal length, combined with a 90 degree angle. The fourth side according to golden ratio phi delivers either 60, 120, 72 or 144 degree angles, thus resulting in eight unique p h i l i n k shapes."
