"Bjorn Rust and Surya Graf of Australian design studio Snack On have designed a two-part tray for fruit.

The following information is from Snack On:

The Axis series is a unique set of nesting trays that combine a serving tray with a fruit dish. The simplicity of the overall forms combined with subtle details allows these pieces to sit comfortably in a variety of interior spaces.

The series of Axis trays are lightweight and very strong, with the trays also being able to be used as table trivets for the serving of hot food.

Using an industrial multi-axis laser cutting technique, the forms are produced from a standard aluminium extrusion. This production process helps to minimise wastage, with the aluminium materials also being 100% recyclable."

"A Vietnam native, Diem Chau and her family came to America as refugees in 1986. Chau is a BFA graduate from Cornish College of the Arts and has received an Artist Trust GAP Grant and a PONCHO Artist-in-Residence Award. Her work has been exhibited in New York, Miami, Seattle and Los Angeles.

Chau combines common mediums and common means to create delicate vignettes of fleeting memory, gesture and form,

Jonas Trampedach has been observing the behaviour of tea drinkers and has evidently been learning a lot. Consequently he has developed a solution to the bag dilemma that is as simple as it is ingenious. With the 'Tea bag Coffin', the drinker can tidily bury the bag under the cup and out of the way.
