My husband was looking for wood to burn in our fire place, and found this in a hardware store in Paris. It was easy to carry wood in this nifty little case. (the case is made out of wood, so also goes in the fire).
It's called the "Buchotheque", and is available with small or large logs.

"Canadian designer Patty Johnson has designed Tswana, a folding chair shown last week at the Cïbone store in Tokyo as part of Design Tide Tokyo.

The chair is based upon those traditionally used by village elders in Botswana and was designed for Botswanan manufacturer Mabeo Furniture.

Mabeo Furniture is a Botswana-based company committed to the production of high quality contemporary furniture.

Mabeo seeks to show that a group of local people from Botswana, Africa can, through their own skills, efforts and meaningful collaborations, create opportunities for themselves and for their communities, become meaningful participants in the global economy,and determine their own destiny.

Tswana (Setswana), is the National language of Botswana and a name that reflects the importance of the original antique chair the design is based upon as something the village elders have used during traditional court sessions, or to sit and chat with friends and neighbours. Patty Johnson, inspired by this commonly seen style of chair, has made a new version for Mabeo Furniture.

Patty Johnson is a Canadian designer who has been cited for synthesizing craft and mass production in her work.

Her consultancy work represents diverse international interests and includes clients such as Totem Gallery, Keilhauer, Speke Klein, Nienkamper, Sephora, the Inter-American International Development Bank, and the United States Agency for International Development." added on 2008-11-09

"Atlas is a stackable restaurant chair. Atlas, the Greek demigod, who had to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders, was in my mind, when I designed this chair. "canadian designer brent comber creates furniture using wood in unusual ways.
his 'alder' series features branches which have been clumped together and cut into geometric forms. the result of this process keeps
the form of the tree intact while create a contemporary form.
the 'shattered' collection has a similar process but instead of branches, it uses cut sections from logs. this creates an effect that resembles shattered glass or ice, hence the name. comber's most innovative use of wood can be found in his series of
lampshades made from cedar trunks. the shades have small perforation drilled in the side to let light through.
comber's work is all made with sustainably harvested wood, often using scraps from wood mills."

"oormerk is a design studio based in the southern town of breda in the netherlands consisting of ruud van hemert and stijn van oorschot. the studio has a number of furniture and architectural pieces
in their portfolio including the ‘replex’ table.
this long dining table was created from a collection of old
furniture pieces. the pieces were disassembled and glued together. this block of wood was then cut into sections and assembled into a table. this process leaves the imperfections of the materials intact
creating a very unusual surface. "

"Considered to be a design classic the Backenzahn has become something of an identifying icon for E15 and part of several permanent exhibitions in Museums around the world.

With its four identical legs made of solid wood this stool really gives a strong impression. The legs taper downwards with two deliberate incisions. The gaps between the legs suggest that all four parts are still clearly recogniseable and the slightly concave seat provides great sitting comfort.

The Backenzahn stool is available in European oiled oak or walnut and can be ordered with a flat top to use as an occasional or bedside table".
